China has changed the world, in terms of manufacturing. You wake up one morning and decide to become an automotive clutch manufacturer. Ok, you really don't make anything, but you contract with a company in China to make the clutches you need. They'll even put your company name on them (if you buy enough) or leave it "no name". This has grown into a large industry because there are so many clutch suppliers. Performance clutch suppliers buy more clutches from China than anyone. These Performance Clutch Rebuilders claim to be the manufacturer. 

Clutch discs and clutch covers made offshore (China) are made to look like the original, genuine product. Materials used are inferior and there's no quality contol.That's why the clutch disc below costs the clutch distibutor between $5 and $10. They seem to favor copying Exedy clutch components. They may look like an Exedy product, but that's the only similarity. Exedy makes top quality clutch covers and discs that are supplied to original automobile manufacturers.
