Original Quality Clutches

Original quality clutches are being purchased at automotive car & truck dealerships, auto parts stores, clutch specialty company's or auto parts distributors. Original quality clutches are made by original equipment clutch manufacturers (see below).

Despite all the company's online claiming to manufacture clutches, there are only a handful of clutch manufacturers. A clutch manufacturer engineers and stamps out clutch covers and clutch discs. Original Equipment (OE) Clutch manufacturers are LuK, Valeo, Exedy and ZF Sachs. There are a couple of smaller ones too, AP (England) and Seiko (Japan). LuK is the largest clutch manufacturer in North America, Valeo is the largest clutch manufacturer in the world. Both company's supply clutches to most vehicle manufacturers. In America, Valeo clutches are fitted in 1 out of three vehicles, that's pretty impressive. LuK clutches are supplied to European automobile manufacturers and most domestic automobile manufacturers. Exedy clutches are original equipment on most Japanese vehicles and they also supply many domestic automobile manufacturers. ZF Sachs is OE on many European Vehicles. LuK, Valeo, Exedy and ZF Sachs are direct competitors going after the same customers (vehicle manufacturers & automotive aftermarket distributors). ZF Sachs is the smallest in terms of OE clutch business. 

There are soo... many websites offering clutch kits, just look at all the ads here. There's actually a limited number of websites selling genuine original quality clutch kits. Why? Because of money. Most company's don't do enough clutch business to buy direct from oe clutch manufacturers and the ones that do, prefer to sell stock modified performance clutches because it's much more profitable.
